So, an author should be able to add multiple enclosures per blog
entry? For instance, I may have a video marked as an enclosure, and an
"alternate" video in a different language format (let's say, Spanish).
Both of these would be enclosures? So, an aggregator would download
both files…

Unfortunately, <enclosure> doesn't specify a format to mark alternate
versions. It also doesn't specify that more than one enclosure can be
used per <item>, but it also doesn't say that you can't…

I could add support for "alternate" and "appendix", but it might make
things more confusing for the user, or the aggregator.
