The movies I make with my small camera are about 2 megs each. (few
hundred K after optimizing). So that's very doable to upload to a
server and optimize serverside for future downloads by users…

Could you explain again how that works? Sounds interesting…

From Adrian:

run it on os x, set a watch folder, anything in here will be compressed for you. haven't used it but would expect it to
use settings you control. on os x would just make the folder available to you via ftp or ssh, or via a http upload, also
on os x you could write an applescript that takes the output and puts it somewhere else, including a webpage (which
would be very cool).
